It’s been ages. Which is an understatement. I’ve been doing stuff but not the things one might imagine.
Apart from doing markets and making stuff I am also doing a Pop-Up Project with my good friend Ursula Bolch (formerly of Ursa Studio House) the last 2 weekends before Xmas.
Well, I did my first ever market stall and survived. Woo hoo! Thanks heaps to Craft Victoria for letting me participate in their special New Craft market.
Yay! My shop is finally open. Just go straight to the menu or click on the link. http://springststudios.bigcartel.com/

I never knew there was such a thing as white bread catering (maybe white trash perhaps?) Nor did I know that I was the authority on it. However, it came to light at my 40th birthday that it was one of my top 5 skills. Well, thank you! I mean, doesn’t everyone know how to make an Asparagus Roll?! And the devilled egg? It really needs no introduction. Growing up in the country, these were staples at afternoon teas, picnic lunches and, well, funerals. It’s the best thing about wakes – the food. Bring on the 70’s hors d’oeuvres I say. Volouvant anyone?!
There will be more…
Just finished doing 6 weeks of life drawing over at Big Pencil Studios. Continue reading
My mother is a brilliant knitter. She’s always making stuff for her grand kids and other peoples grand kids. So when she presented me with this beautiful jumper for my birthday I was rapt!
Then. Out of nowhere came this little beauty.
What great colours. Thanks heaps Mum!
Now I should probably leave the house at some point so I can actually wear them.
Meet COL (The Caravan of Love). A new addition to our automobile family. Purchased to use as a spare room, a possible recording studio (for my other half) and of course a mobile holiday house.
Lots of plans for the interior refurbishment – curtains, cushions, a bit of paint here and there. Although it will be hard to get rid of the original 60’s bark cloth upholstery… Oh my, I’m in love. Can’t wait to get it on the road!
The Big Hearted Business (un-) Conference was on this weekend in nearby Northcote. It was bloody amazing! The inimitable Clare Bowditch and a gang of inspiring women blew us away with their kick-ass cleverness, courage and absolute no-bullshit attitude. I also met a heap of talented & industrious ladies that I will hopefully connect with again soon.
Must go again next year! #causeimhappy #dowhatyoulove #makemoney #changetheworld
